Monroe County has 2 different ceremonies this one lasted a little over 2 hours and it was just awards. He was recognized for his carpentry and welding skills with a certificate that states he is a carpenter. He was also recognized by Associated General Contractors of Kentucky. This means a lot when it comes payday. He also received a Career Major certificate in Agriculture. Matthew didn't apply for any scholarships. But my niece Lindsey (bottom picture w/dark hair & a grin from ear to ear) did, she received several awards that will help her, along with her scholarship to Lindsey Wilson. I will post more pictures later. Graduation is at 7 Pm on Friday night. I am so glad they split these up. If not it would take all night.
