portraits
















I would have never thought that we would have a tough time getting Sydney to sit on the table to photgraph her. She didn't want to sit on the table. The picture with the jewerly box and bracelets was the only one that we didn't have a hard time with. There was several shots but these are the best ones.

What fantastic pictures. Well worth whatever bribery had to be employed to get Sydney to sit still! She's at a great age for a professional photo. In these shots she seems to embody the innocence of childhood and at the same time the wisdom of the ages. I think the black & white and also the sepia pics bring both those looks together very effectively. Just one suggestion, tho, if you get one of the shots with the jewelry, be sure to use the one that includes the jewelry box. That makes all the difference in the world. In the shot where the box is cropped out, she's just a kid with necklaces - whereas if you include the jewelry box (and the bracelets on her arm) the picture tells a story. Just my two cents...
